History
In 1988, Alberts Publishers started as a family initiative by two academics Professor SV Nzimande (D. Phil, UNISA) ,Professor PN Nzimande ( D Litt& Phil, UNISA) when they bought the publishing rights of two books. These were later significantly updated by them and re published under Alberts Publishers. In 1991 Alberts Publishers was as a small business venture with a vision for the future and began publishing and distributing the books nationally at an ever growing pace. As a result of this and the new skills entering the business, the ALBERTS NOMANDLA GROUP (ANG) was born in 1998. The company which is 100% Black Owned and has a 50% female shareholding has grown rapidly and has diversified over the years into the multi-pronged business it is today. The Publishing Company has branched out into various divisions under the Group, namely:
